Develop and construct 15 high-end single-family homes on property that was once a 10-acre nursery and construction yard.
• What made this job complex
The landowner's financial goals and practical difficulty in defining the nature of the contamination prevented the project from obtaining the conventional financing and regulatory agency approvals.
• How Posillico solved it
Posillico partnered with the contractor to develop a strategy by implementing a proper site development plan and provide critical findings to implement the necessary remediation. It was then determined that contamination was due to the property's historical use, by way of plant pesticides and construction yard wastes, which over time contaminated the soil. Shortly thereafter, we then secured the agency sign off for the financier.
