What made this job complex

Decades of filling the low-lying land and the former use of the property for trolley and bus maintenance created a complex mix of contaminated soil and shallow groundwater issues.

How Posillico solved it

Contaminated soil was delineated in three dimensions and merged with potential subsurface design alternatives. The cost of implementing various mitigation scenarios were incorporated into the financial analysis of the proposed building and incorporated into the final design of the engineering controls. The estimates were used to help decide which approach met the developer's financial goals.
